Like I've mentioned in my previous blogpost for Essential, I have really oily scalp and dry ends AKA the combination hair.
Just like our skin, having oily and dry zones is known as ‘Combination Skin’, hair
that exhibits mixed behaviour like oily roots and dry ends is known as
‘Combination Hair’.
Rich moisturizing shampoos target the dry ends but
may be too rich for the scalp, resulting in build-up that makes the scalp oily.
Moreover depending on the thoroughness of scalp massage during shampooing,
the scalp build-up may not be thoroughly washed of, further causing the scalp to
feel oily in a shorter time.
For people with combination hair, they might use two shampoos to target the two problems – light, clarifying shampoos target oily roots but cause hair ends to be dry. On the other hand, Rich moisturizing shampoos that target the dry ends may be too rich for the scalp, resulting in build-up that makes the scalp oily.
Moreover depending on the thoroughness of scalp massage during shampooing, the scalp build-up may not be thoroughly washed of, further causing the scalp to feel oily in a shorter time.
HOW?!?!!?!
With the optimum combination of Smart Cuticle Care & Sebum Cleansing Technology in the Light Finish Volumizing and Deep Cleansing Care variants, you can now achieve moisturised hair ends while maintaining a refreshed, breathable scalp!
I have actually never tried the light finish & volumizing one before because I've actually been using the deep cleansing care one for a really time and it's serving me really well. But now that I've tried out the light finish & volumizing one, I think this two comes great together! Now my ends feel more nourished now :D
Also, Essential is giving out
a massage shampoo brush with purchase of
shampoo and conditioner which is a common haircare tool in Japan and is
used by the majority of Japanese women to help
remove dirt and sebum more effectively from the
scalp. The massaging action on the scalp also
helps improve blood circulation and promote
relaxation. Shiok ah no need to pay so much just for them to wash my hair and massage my head lol.
Pick your colors!!
I PICKED THE PINK ONE!!
The design of the brush is great for people with manicure like me so you wouldn't have to worry about your manicures (especially those with crystals and gems) getting tangled between your hair!
How to use the brush?
1.) Wet & Shampoo hair as usual.
2.) Hold brush handle between index and third finger and rub the bristles onto scalp gentle from side to side with small movements. Do not move the brush in circular motions as this will cause tangles.
3.) Rinse off shampoo and apply conditioner as per normal.
Essential Shampoo 750ml + Conditioner 750ml with free Massage Shampoo Brush
in hot pink or mint green is now available from mid-May 2015 at all leading supermarkets
($19.60)

Dazzling Cafe
Thursday, May 14, 2015
I've heard about the crazy queue for Dazzling Cafe but still, I decided to give it a try on a weekday with Lynn thinking that everyone is either schooling/working.
We arrived about 20 minutes earlier and there were already people queuing for it! We were the third or fourth in line I think. Can't imagine the queue on a weekend...
While I was queuing outside, I already fell in love with the interior design!! Everything is in the shade of Tiffany blue! SO PRETTYYYYY.
We were deciding whether to get the waffles or the honey toast and we finally decided on the toast because we felt that waffles can be found everywhere? lol.
Settled down with the Black Chocolate Honey Toast ($17.90)
There is a bar inside the cafe too!
But everything is kinda pricey so we only ordered the toast and drink free plain water LOL.
Inspiring quotes about friendship on the wall.
"eh pretend to look at the menu, I help you take one picture!" so here's the picture lol.
After about 10-15 minutes, our toast is finally served!!!
The service here is extremely good!
They served your toast first and tell you to call them after you have finishing taking picture of your toast so that they can help you cut the toast into smaller pieces and after that they serve it nicely on your plate like the above picture.
Would come back again to try their waffles!
Ratings out of 5:
Love how everything is not overwhelming sweet. Service, atmosphere, everything is good. Except for the pricing.
