A pastel 21st Birthday Party

Hello everyone! 
In today's post I will be blogging about my 21st birthday party at the Sultan Hotel. 
I booked the biggest Sultan Loft as I was expecting about 30 guests, but only about 22 turned up. 
At first I was pretty worried about the room being too small (from the picture I found online) but ended up it was pretty big!! The room was about $350 for a night with complimentary breakfast and minibar. 


Woke up at about 930am to prepare and headed out to Tampines to collect my birthday cake. I was super excited for it because it's my first time customizing cakes and it turns out to be AMAZING!!!!


I requested for my favorite baby breaths and strawberries!
I chose the color scheme as well, very pretty right!!!! Everyone is going "omg so pretty!!!!" over my cake :D

Anyways if you're wondering, it's an 8 inch vanilla salted caramel cake and it's more than enough to feed about 20 pax because it's really tall. I paid $98 for the cake, IT'S WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT. Just that the cream is a little too sweet for the guests' liking, the sponge cake was really good though!

Thank you guys so much for helping me out!!! It's nice to have a tall friend because long hands long legs, easy do things LOLOLOL.


Wall setups! I can't believe my bf actually gave a great idea of sticking the balloons in a rainbow shape LOL because he usually just goes "anything la you decide" -roll eyes-


Always prepare extra snacks just in case the food is not enough. I bought my pastel paper plates and cups from Daiso. Seriously some places are totally charging crazy amount for PAPER pink plates and cups, like $6.90 for 20 pieces?! CRAZY OR WHAT. #teamdaiso


Made some popcorn treats for the guests to bring home! I got those labels online and printed them out to match my Pastel Alice in wonderland theme.


Menu that I designed to fit the theme as well. But clearly nobody gives a shit about it, it's just for decor purposes lol.


Food were from Stamford Catering!
I ordered their high tea set for 30 pax and there were still leftovers when the party ends. 
I strongly recommend them! Especially the chocolate puffs omg. But my guests seems to love every dish though LOL.

Total damage is about $250 for the food just in case you're wondering. 

It was tiring for me to walk up and down the stairs cox it was really steep, but thank god everyone came in groups so nobody was left out!

Thank you all for attending my 21st Birthday party, I hope you guys enjoy the party as much as I do! And I'm kind of sad that photos kind of turn out grainy due to the lighting :( Btw the hotel room has really bad lightings, I'm glad my camera is able to take some good photos although most of them are from my iphone. 




Woke up for their breakfast buffet. A total disappointment. Variety was so little and the food was cold and hard :(

Now that I'm 21, I find it really stressful because whatever we are doing since young, is all because of one thing - money. We study hard to get into good schools, get good grades and get a cert for a high paying job. We don't really get to choose what we wanna do, we are just doing for the sake to survive in this society. We gave up our dreams and ambitions, because we know that certain things for sure, isn't enough to support ourselves. We aren't courageous enough to try, because we are afraid of failure, and how much we can lose from multiple attempts. 

I used to want lots in life; but after 21 years living in my life, I only wish for happiness. Happiness in my opinion, is the hardest to get in your life. You can buy everything, but you can't buy emotions and feelings. These are the things that make you human. However, many things in life stop you from being a happy person. Maybe it's your own expectations, maybe it's other expectations of you. 

This is the reason why I only set a goal in life for myself - which is to get a house of my own. And also, be satisfied with what I have currently. Happy 21st to me xx.

AFA 2013 // Atelier Royale

HELLO HELLO.

I'm back from Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2013 and it was a super duper tiring day for me cox I slept at 2am and woke up at 8am cox I cannot go back to sleep BOOOO. Met up with Lynn, my AFA partner for 3 years before heading to Suntec!

This year's dress code: 
SCHOOL GIRL!


Obviously this year I took more effort to wear nicely lah HAHAHAHA. 

So I stepped out of my house wearing like this cox I can't be bothered to bring all my stuffs there to change AND I GOT STARED BY EVERYONE LOL WHAT'S NEW RIGHT. I mean it's like super abnormal to see someone dresses like this and walk along the streets in Singapore but who cares I'm in the AFA mood so come on bitches STARE AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE LOL.

And the moment I stepped out of cityhall MRT I got approached by 2 modelling agency lol but obviously I didn't bother much cox the agency approached me 987654321 times before and obviously it was kind of a scam la. Just google the name of the agency and all the bad stuffs come out LOL.

Met up with Sinyee before we headed in and we decided to take a walk around first before heading to the cafe!

This is like my newest obsession now and I wanted to get the big plushie after I visited the cafe and Jino said later will sold out and I was like CHOI TOUCHWOOD AH, ended up when I head back to the booth,  I was like...


then...


IT WAS S-O-L-D O-U-T SOLD OUT.

And the first thing that came thing my mind was "JINOOOOOOOOO I'M GOING TO KILL YOU" LOLOLOL. But obviously I didn't lah I'm so nice HAHAHAHA just kidding, since I can save money for my Japan trip so I was kind of happy that it was sold out!

Okay so next stop, the cafe !! 



This years' cafe was a new experience cox both the maids & butlers are in the same cafe and I was so happy because I wanted to see Miyake! SHE'S SO PRETTY OMGGGGGG /fangirling

And we got Kyoichi as our Butler!


He quite funny, he asked us "So I confirmed your orders, 3 tofu cheesecakes ?" And we said ya, but he served us 3 chocolate cake instead LOL. And uhhhh, apart from that, I like his smile ! :D


As usual, no photography in the cafe so I only took a photo of my tofu cheesecake and a cat. 
THE CHEESECAKE IS DAMN NICE I SWEAR I CAN EAT 100 IN A DAY.

At first for the first 15 minutes after our food was served, no butlers came to our table to talk to us and I was like mehhhhhzxc. Cox the table beside us was a girl sitting alone and all the butlers go to her and I was like eh eh eh why no butlers talk to us boooooo. Then I told Lynn and Sinyee next year we go in seperate, each person 1 table LOL then maybe got more butlers will talk to us *smirk* But immediately after I said that got butlers came to us LOL DAMN I SHOULD HAVE SAID IT EARLIER.

So I'm briefly going to describe my experience with the butlers this year!

The first one that came over was Preston/Ren. 


He was Lynn's and Sinyee's favourite but when he came over both of them didn't talk to him AT ALL & THEY JUST LEAVE THE TALKING TO ME LOL. But he was so so quiet !!  I'd to think of questions to start a conversation, for a moment I thought I was doing my assignment cox I'd to think of interview questions for my interviewee LOL. And thanks for saying my uniform was cute hehehehe ^u^

Next butler that came to talk to us was Haru!


I like him cox conversations with him is very comfortable, like no awkwardness hahaha and he's damn awesome cox he said will feedback to have student price at AR HAHAHAHAHA but obviously it won't happen la LOL. AND HE IMITATED KIFE'S "When you see me, you see..." And since me & Sinyee watches his vlogs we obviously knew the answer was free gifts HAHAHA. He helped us to get Kife to our table so the next butler that visited our table was...

Kife/Shou!


Actually when he came over I didn't know what to say to him, like kena mindblock LOL but he only stayed awhile at our table cox he was busy with the other tables. HE SAY HE PAISEH COX HE NO TIME ENTERTAIN ME HAHAHA. And I was quite surprised that he know me !! But I think I've no fate with him, join his giftaways never win, go cafe never get served by him, WORST never talk talk to him LOL. Actually got la, he say I very tall but he never see my wedges HAHAHAHA OOPS.

The last butler that came to talk to us was Jino/Takuya! (AKA THE GUY THAT CURSED ME LOL)


We was about to leave cox we finished our coffee already then suddenly he saw me and I saw him so he came over to our table and the first thing he said was "why you come already never tell me!" I was like wah boss how to tell you ah LOL.

 And the most surprising thing was that he said he read my blog and I was like ?!?!?! WTF HOW YOU KNOW MY BLOG LINK ?! Then he said we are friends on Facebook LOL. SO HELLO JINO IF YOU'RE READING THIS !! *waves*

And by far I'd the best conversation with him cox he stayed at our table for quite a long time and I felt that talking to him is more like talking to a friend instead of a butler cox he say I bastard never listen in class HAHAHAHA and we had some inside jokes about hentai and PLEASE AH I DON'T WATCH HENTAI OKAY, MY IMAGE ALMOST GONE LOL. 

Last but not least, not forgetting the one that almost made me fell off my chair...

Jeremy/Hiroshi!


He scared Lynn once not enough next target me LOL. He stood behind my chair and didn't say a word and Sinyee keep looking behind me and I was like what's so nice behind my back?! and I turned around I was like WTFFFFFF I ALMOST SCREAMED LOL.

He didn't talk to us but I noticed he is very good with his poses when taking photos with the Ojousama hahahaha. 


So who's my favourite butler?
I would say I'm neutral with all but if I'd to pick I will pick Kife and Jino as my favourite!

Today I'm going to reveal where I work although I've revealed it on Instagram/twitter already lah! But if you don't know then I'm going to show you guys the place now!! Also gonna do a review on it so read on okay!!

Okay so my work place is a happy place filled with sheeps! And no I don't work on a farm LOL. It's BATTER FLUFFY FLAPS! Basically it's a cafe that mainly sell pancakes, sides and drinks but the star of the cafe is the pancakes! You can also come find me lah, if you want HAHAHAHA.


And you guys know why I work there or not? Cox one day I passed by the shop and I saw the sheep and I was like "eh!!! The sheep so cute I want to eat here!" then ended up I work there cox just nice they are hiring. Talking about fate ah hahaha.

So first day of work (which is my training) started and I was like super scared cox I quite awkward turtle one, and I very scared the people there unfriendly lah but omg I swear everyone there is like super duper friendly and funny! Which is a good thing lah! Clique pretty well with them :D

Then today I went to visit them at work and I wanted to troll the new guy that is coming for work lah, but then my friend said I'm super bad then I never lor, see I so nice right HAHAHA. But I don't know why he like abit scared of me ah maybe I'm too nice that's why LOL (living in my own world)

Yep so like I said my workplace is filled with sheeps right:

Ordered the bff set which is like 2 mains + 1 sides + 2 drinks! WRONG CHOICE SUPER DUPER FILLING I SWEAR. Matt (my colleague) was telling me I sure cannot finish one then I act smart go bet with him, ended up I lose the bet lol.

Aishah ordered Hot chocolate and I ordered vanilla latte!


Matt said this was supposed to be a heart but I have no idea why it looks like a leaf LOL.
But it's okay since it tasted pretty good! Matt you're forgiven (if you're reading this) HAHAHAHA.

It's fries with parmesan cheese if I'm not wrong! And Linda super duper nice gave me extra fries but I barely could finish them :( !!!!

Aishah said the pancakes was really good! Some said it's better then Macs/Strictly pancakes but I can't really decide cox I'm super not fussy with my food one, as long as can eat can already lol. You must come try for yourself then you know!

She is my bestie during sec 3-4 because we sit beside each other in class and we practically do everything together lah! Do work together, study together, eat together go toilet also together LOL. 

We were talking over lunch about our secondary school life and I realize I've never ever quarreled with her before, quite surprising! As in we do quarrel lah, but is like we will keep scolding each other then end up laughing kind. So is like the first one to laugh loses lah, quite funny hahaha! And we never angry with each overnight before also! 

And I will always nag at her to study then I will be super angry if she don't study then she have no choice but to do her work lah! Then we both will always munch on fried sweet tapioca in class during recess cox she will always bring extra for me cox she know I love it.

I really miss secondary school life now omg :(

Oh on a second note,

We both went back to Bedok View today cox it's teacher's day and we met Ms Emillia (My F&N teacher!) and I'm so so happy for her cox she's finally getting married and she invited us cox we are the first batch of F&N students she taught! Her cupcake shop is also opening soon and I'll be taking photos for the cupcakes, can't wait!!!
