Hello everyone!!
(Before I start, I just created a Facebook page for my blog so please show me some love by liking it ok!!! The Facebook gadget is just on the right :D THANK YOU HEHEHE -hug-)

I'm finally having my holidays so I headed to the Japanese primary school on Saturday with Lynn for Natsu Matsuri!! If you don't know what is that, it's translated into 'summer festival' which is a festival where you get to dress in Yukata, play games and eat all the good food.I missed the one last year so I was all hyped up for this year one LOL.

Went like 3 hours earlier and there are already people queuing under the hot sun already. Thank god for company if not I swear I'm gonna be so sian there. There was a girl behind us alone and I wonder how she tank for that few hours :x
Hoboing outside the school with Lynn.

FINALLY GOTTEN OUR TICKETS !!!!

As expected, everything here is pretty much overpriced as you can see from the price of the mask :(
IT'S LIKE FREAKING $10 FOR A MASK. But I guess people still buy it because it's like a once in a year thing so just yolo lol.

What's a festival without cotton candy and popcorns?

You can actually rent a Yukata there for a small fee if you don't have your own!
I actually wanted to rent but the queue was way too long and I was already so sick of queuing outside so I didn't join the queue.

Were extremely hungry so we went to get some Takoyaki before we headed to the big field.

$3 for 4 small balls which I finished each ball with a mouth, but customer service -thumbs up- #japanrocks

The little kids are so cute omg.

Little performers on the main stage!

We didn't have any mat so Lynn just sat on the grass while I sat on a plastic bag, we all really hobo mode :x

BUT WHO CARES HOBO STILL CAN SELFIE :D

Bought curry rice and Lynn had some boiled squid noodles for dinner.
and more selfie:

My iconic fishball cheeks LOL

There were game booths too but I didn't try any because I'm super bad at games, confirm lose everything one lol!

Everyone is so intensely looking at the players o.o

Left around 7 because Lynn need to head back home early so we didn't manage to join the Bon dori at the end but it was still a fun day afterall! :D

Btw if you haven't watch, Japan vlog part 2 at Disneyland is up!

Recipe: Honey Castella Cake カステラ

Sunday, August 10, 2014

Hello everyone!

I was recipe hunting recently and I came across this Honey Castella Cake recipe and it seems rather easy because all you need to do is dump everything into the egg mixer and that's it! So I decided to give it a try and it turn out really well!

Click on the image to enlarge the recipe.
You can also reduce the amount of sugar if you don't like it too sweet.
I actually skipped some steps like pouring the batter through a sift because I'm too lazy but it still turn out fine!!

The top layer should come out brown and crispy like this!
These cakes are also good as gifts because they taste so good and it's super easy to make.
Even my sister who isn't fond of cakes said it was good!

And did you realize that did recipe didn't use any butter/oil at all?!  I WAS SUPER AMAZED CAN.Turned out so good somemore omg this is unreal.

Great as a afternoon tea snack with a cup of coffee/tea!

Or just simply wrap them up as a gift!

Just in case you're wondering where I got my baking paper from, I got them from a shop that is similar to Daiso call Tokutokuya. EVERYTHING $2 ALSO !!! I bought the ball of paper ropes seen on the above picture from there too.

They update their stuff regularly so I always check every week or so to see if they have new products or not. But they don't carry these cooking sheets anymore :(

Comes in Minnie and Hello Kitty prints!!
Bonus point for cute packaging

You not only can use it as a baking paper, you can also use it to wrap your food in many many different ways!

And that's all for my post, see you guys soon! :D

Alive Museum Singapore

Friday, August 8, 2014

I'm pretty sure you guys heard of the Alive Museum and if you haven't, it's a 3D original visual illusion museum from South Korea! YOU HEARD IT RIGHT YES SOUTH KOREA!! It's so popular that the Alive Museum in Jeju appeared in an episode of 'Heartstrings'.

I was super excited when I reached there because I have seen so many people posting photos of them enjoying themselves at the museum! NOW IT'S MY TURN.

Headed down to the museum with Sinyee at around 630pm and it was pretty much empty because it was on a week day so we didn't have to queue to take pictures with the masterpieces. I would totally suggest you to go on a weekday evening to avoid the crowd.

Super bright and colorful!!

Even the tickets are so cute too!!

The moment we enter Sinyee was very excited to see this window and she like telling me instead of posing with the cloth below to pretend we are cleaning the windows, we should just touch her boobs like this:

Conclusion: Sinyee is a pervert.

Queen of the pervert...

Even Beckham & spiderman kowtowed to her.

BULLY ELDERLY SOMEMORE.
HAHAHAH okay I'm kidding Sinyee please don't kill me I still love you<3

SO HERE COME SOME OF MY PHOTOS:

Crazy one, going to fall still so happy lolol

There was this execution booth so we headed over to write our last wish:

Aiyo drowning of sweetness <3 (Stanley is her boyfriend btw)

The one below is my wish and it's gonna remain a secret HAHAHAHAHA.
This person read my blog so I have to mosaic it if not I'm doom LOL

Time for execution.

There was this place where you are suppose to go into a dark room and while your partner will sit down and the person inside the room will start drawing you. So this is how we fare LOL #failart

Probably the only time to be taller than the hoop!

This is probably the coolest masterpiece ever! We didn't know there will be strong wind when you stand there to give you the effect so Sinyee stood there and suddenly the strong wind came and her face totally cringed LOL.

Immigrating to some forest kthxbye

Sinyee fainted with her phone and specs in her hand LOL

I LOOK DAMN FUNNY I SWEAR HAHAHAHHAA
This photo turned out blurry because I think Sinyee was busy laughing at how retarded I look like.
She keep telling me I look damn funny but I don't believe so I asked her to stand over there and...
